Meet the Editors

Dana Alshekhlee
Co-Founder

Dana is a fourth-year medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She grew up in St. Louis and completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University. Her interests include women’s health, reproductive justice, narrative medicine, and community-based health advocacy.

Her creative nonfiction piece, “The Nests that Don’t Empty,” won the 2025 Inspired By” Arts Showcase.

Daria Hoang
Co-Founder

Daria is a fourth-year medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, applying Neurology. She grew up in the Bay Area and completed her BA at Columbia University. Her interests include movement disorders, stroke, neuromuscular diseases, and fiction writing.

Her short story, “The Hour of Consciousness,” won the 2025 American Academy of Neurology Lewis P. Rowland Grand Prize.

Kirti Veeramachaneni

Kirti is a fourth-year medical student at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She grew up in West Texas and completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University. Her interests include narrative medicine, mentorship in medicine, and the influence of social media and technology on mental health.

She is a volunteer for the Saint Louis Literary Award. She manages the eudaimonia website.
